Now, there is such thing as “spot gain”.
For example:
🍗Guys who do curls all day have huge arms but chicken legs.
😬Or women who do crunches all day because they think they can spot reduce end up just putting muscle on underneath the fat and make that area bigger.
My apologies if that hit you in your core (pun very much so intended).
Here are some additional facts:
We will lose weight first, wherever we’re genetically inclined to lose (then everywhere else will follow). Which is different for everyone. For some folks it's the arms, the legs for others, and so on.
Now. With that said, one of the many reasons we store fat is for “warmth and protection”. The vast majority of our vital organs are in our stomach. That is why, almost across the board on everyone, we store fat 1st in our belly and why belly fat is generally the last to go.
The quickest way to lose fat in that particular spot that you deem as a problem area is to focus on overall fat loss— lift weights, HIIT cardio, and eat clean. Do the work and trust the process.
