Ok, so let's get straight into it.

Let me first break down for you all what, to me, is the most important component anybody and everybody needs to take into serious, and daily, consideration when it comes to food intake.

It's not so much about how much you eat as it is about WHAT you eat. Of course how much you eat is important but what you consume is a far more critical ingredient (pun absolutely intended) when it comes to your overall health and wellness. And this goes for everybody, no matter what your goals are.

A couple of things to begin taking into serious consideration:

  • Start reading the ingredients list. Not just the nutrition facts, but the actual ingredients that are in your food. Peanut butter, should have peanuts. Beans should have beans. There shouldn’t be a laundry list of crap you can’t pronounce.

  • Great rule of thumb, if in that ingredient list you KNOW there’s items (ITEMS as in plural) that are man made, its a chemical sh*t-storm, one you do not want to consume and digest!

Also, sugar is the devil. Especially added sugars. Naturally occurring sugars aren’t as bad but added sugars need to be avoided like the plague.

I’m sure, by now, most if not all of you are fully aware of the negative health benefits sugar has on your body but it also has a huge negative impact on your mental health and well being too. Don’t believe me, or want to know more?

And lastly, something you can expect from me every Fit Food Friday is one of my favorite healthy snacks or meals. Below, you’ll see baked chicken paired with a fruit assortment to my liking. I got this idea from my homies over at My Fit Foods!

They no longer carry it but I still love making it for myself, especially when I need something quick in between clients that doesn’t require a microwave. Yes, you can eat this chicken cold— paired up with the fruit is so good, surprisingly!

I season the chicken with the best seasoning on the planet, which can literally go on anything and everything— Tony C’s! Don’t overcook it, nobody likes dry chicken, especially cold. Regardless, I typically will eat a piece of chicken and then eat 2-3 pieces of fruit and continue in that rotation until I’m done, son!
