Fit Food Friday #4

One of the easiest and most delicious little breakfast snacks that also happens to be one my all time favorites are these cute little egg muffins my wife started making years ago.

Sheā€™s played around with different ingredients and different recipes and no lie, each and every one of them have been delicious.

Iā€™m always on the go and having to either eat in my truck or in between clients and so sheā€™s always coming up with ways that I can easily store food, and eat it but also packed with protein becauseā€¦ you knowā€¦ #gainz

  1. šŸ³Eggs/egg whites: Sheā€™ll typically crack some eggs and also use egg whites so itā€™s 50/50 egg and egg white ratio, give or take.

  2. šŸ„“Meat: Sheā€™s done turkey sausage, bacon, and ham. All of which are delicious in their own right.

  3. šŸ„”Complex Carb: Sheā€™s done papas (potatoes) and sweet potatoes. Again, so damn good, either way you go.

  4. šŸ’ŖšŸ½Greens: Almost always adds spinach. I donā€™t eat enough greens because Iā€™m a child, so sheā€™s always trying to help me get those in, again, because Iā€™m a child.

  5. šŸ§€Cheese: I donā€™t necessarily prefer cheese but I also donā€™t mind it and the kids do prefer it so here we are.

Throw all-a-dat into itā€™s own little individual muffin spot on a muffin tray, slide the tray on into the oven, bake until cooked thoroughly, and boom boom boom.

You now have premade, healthy, grab and go, easy to store and eat on the go, slammed with protein, little breakfast delights! (and donā€™t forget to first spray your pan with non-stick sprayā€” we use this avocado spray as our go-to)

And, so long as youā€™re not a communist I know you also LOVE breakfast for dinner so you can literally eat these whenever you want!

PRO TIP:

We havenā€™t tried this yet but I just thought of itā€” if you like a little spice, cut up some jalepeƱos and add them into the mix!
